2025 Winter Adventure:

Art Through Time

Discover the artwork of Sandro Botticelli, Judith Leyster, Gustav Klimpt, Camille Claudel, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Jean Michel Basquiat. Become art historians and examine the culture and symbolism behind the artwork.

Engage their
growing curiosity

Our 2025 winter adventure students will become art historians and resident artists by examining selected artists, and the culture and symbolism behind the art. Using artists and artwork from different periods in time, students will learn to discern the changing cultural landscape - along with new developing painterly styles. By exploring different periods of time, the artist biography, students can develop art historian critical thinking skills - to unlock the clues within the art that provides the audience with unique experiences. Students will develop not only their art historian skills, but also use their lens of art when creating their own artwork inspired by the featured artist. Our last class will be a fun portfolio presentation, and a little Salad bowl game with parents.
