Creating an Adventure

After our exciting adventure to Chile, we discovered there were Dutch explorers who not only sailed the rough seas to South America, but also were first to assign names to two important areas of Chile: Cape Horn and Easter Island. This fun discovery unveiled out interest in the Netherlands and Dutch culture. And so we began our journey learning the geography and fun facts about the Netherlands.

We completed our adventure to the Netherlands with a informative presentation by the children on their favorite facts about the Dutch culture and history. After the presentation, we enjoyed pannenkoeken, Spanish wine, Gouda cheese and a fun game of Salad Bowl between the parents and students. The students were filled with excitement and delighted in their win against the parents. .

As we continue on our adventures, we will be learning about art with Art Through Time beginning with Cave Painting to - Greek, Medieval, Renaissance, Impressionism and ending with Contemporary. Can’t wait to see the artwork that the students will produce, and scaffolding of knowledge content.
